Sabarimala special trains November, December 2023 from Vizag, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Vijayawada.
Indian Railways has started to accommodate the pilgrims traveling for Sabarimala 2023-24 Season. Every year millions of devotees travel In trains to reach Sabarimala. Many people will also board the special suvidha trains, weekly special trains etc and reach to the nearest railway station to Sabarimala. We after following Indian Railways Press Releases, made up a list of special trains running from Vishakapatnam, Chennai, Hyderabad or Secunderabad, Vijayawada.
Sabarimala Special Trains 2023:
Due to Covid-19 lockdown and social distancing measures current running trains between all stations were suspended. Only few selected routes are open to travel and there were no known special trains which are running to nearest sabarimala are provided by Indian Railways.
Sabarimala Special Train between Chennai Central & Kollam station In October November December & January:
Two trains named Chennai Central to Kollam Special Express, Kollam to Chennai Central Special Express running back and forth between two stations.
Trains start from Chennai central @ 08:40 PM (20:40) on alternate days from December 3 till January 14. Dates Starting from Chennai were 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26, 31 in December 2019, 2, 7, 9, 14 January 2021.
The return journey train from Kollam to Chennai Central Starts @ 03:00 PM from December 4 to January 10. Train will reach on next day morning at 09:45 AM every time. Dates starting from Kollam were 4,6,11,13,18,20 and 27, 3,8 and 10 in January 2023.
There is also a special train between Chennai & Kollam on two day December 25 and January 1. Chennai Central Suvidha Special Train no 82634 will leave kollam @ 3 PM. Chennai Kollam Suvidha Special Train 82635 will Leave Chennai Central one day only i.e January 11.

Sabarimala Special Train running between Hyderabad to Kollam:
Hyderabad Kollam suvidha special train number is 82721 & 82722 runs back & forth with these numbers. The train in scheduled to leave Hyderabad @ 3:55 PM on 17, 21, 25, 29 November. The return journey train will start from Kollam @ 3 PM on 19, 23, 27 November & 1 December respectively.
A special tollfree number was dedicated Sabarimala Pilgrims 182 and the railways opened additional IRCTC reservation counters at chengannur, Kottayam, Pampa etc. The reservation counter at pampa is functional 24X7.
Sabarimala Special Weekly Express Train from Visakhapatnam to Kollam:
This year Kollam railway station was going to be filled with Sabarimala Ayyappan Devotees. South Central Railway an East Coast Railway decided to run Special Train between Visakhapatnam & Kollam from November 17 to January 21.
Train Number 08515 will be a special weekly superfast train starts @ 23:50 PM every Sunday. The train reaches its destination kollam station on following Tuesday b7 7 AM. First trip starts from November 17 followed by 24 November, 1,8, 15, 22, 29 December & 5, 12 January.
The returning Train starts from November 19 and will continue to return at every Wednesday till January 21.
